Butterflies are a symbol of beauty, springtime, overcoming fears and epic transformation. The magic of their lifecycle reminds us of the magic in us, and the magic all around us in nature.
I don't like to waste anything, and when I'm making art pieces I sometimes use vintage butterfly specimens. They are fragile and often the complete butterfly doesn't always make it! But I can't resist keeping these little shiny wing fragments and offering them to you.
Blue Morpho butterflies are my favorite. They are Native to Brazil, and people have used them in artwork for a long, long time. I like to collect these vintage pieces and I often come across damaged framed ones. Well here I have saved them in a tiny wearable time capsule for you to shimmer with.
